No Nay Never filly Makes All To Maiden Victory
Sweet Harmony (2f No Nay Never - Last Waltz, by Danehill Dancer) made all to justify favouritism in Wednesday’s fillies’ maiden at Yarmouth.
Richard Spencer’s charge shaped with promise on debut at Ascot last month, when finishing fifth behind the smart Clochette (No Nay Never), and once again raced over six furlongs on Wednesday. Kieran O’Neill asked his mount to quicken approaching the two furlong marker and drew clear with another rival approaching the final furlong. Keeping on well, the Phil Cunningham-owned bay led by a length and a quarter on the line.
A step up in class may now be on the cards for Sweet Harmony, who holds an entry in the Group 2 Lowther Stakes. The daughter of No Nay Never was bred by Rabbah Bloodstock.
