No Nay Never Filly Wins Maiden In Impressive Fashion

The William Haggas-trained Pink Sands (2f No Nay Never - First Breeze, by Woodman) produced an impressive front-running performance to win the five furlong fillies maiden at Ripon on Wednesday.

She was sent off the short-priced favourite following her fine second on debut last month and like then, made all the running on Wednesday. Liam Jones began to push his mount clear approaching the final furlong and she obliged with ease, crossing the line three lengths and three quarters in front.

Winning in the colours of Bermuda Thoroughbred Racing Limited, Pink Sands was bought by John and Jake Warren for 230,000gns at the Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale. She is a half-sister to the ultra-consistent sprinter Master Speaker and was bred by Lynch Bages Ederidge Ltd and Glenvale Stud out of a half-sister to Breeders’ Cup Classic second Twilight Agenda
