No Nay Never Juvenile Captures Stakes Contest

Les Pavots (2f No Nay Never – Sparrow, by Oasis Dream) became the latest Stakes winner by No Nay Never when justifying favouritism in the Listed Prix des Jouvenceaux et des Jouvencelles at Vichy.

The half-sister to Sir Dragonet (Camelot) impressed on debut in May and followed up with a close second at Listed level, before taking third behind Ramatuelle (Justify) in a Group 3. Stepping up to seven furlongs on Wednesday, Francis-Henri Graffard’s representative was ridden patiently by Mickael Barzalona and remained at the back of the field on the turn for home. Pushed along soon after, she quickened to lead a furlong from home and kept on well to win by half a length.

Les Pavots is owned by Haras d’Etreham in partnership with Craig Bernick, having been purchased privately from breeder Coolmore Stud. As well as being a half-sister to dual Group 1 winner Sir Dragonet (Camelot), she is a half-sister to Listed scorer and Group performer Sir Lucan (Camelot).
