No Nay Never Juvenile Draws Clear At Newbury
Mukaber (2g No Nay Never – Made By Hand, by Mastercraftsman) justified a Mill Reef Stakes entry when running out an impressive winner of Saturday’s seven furlong maiden at Newbury.
Richard Hannon’s charge finished second to a more experienced type in July and went on to take fifth behind the well-regarded Jouncy at Goodwood last time out. Partnered by Jamie Spencer on Saturday, he made all and boasted a clear advantage with over a furlong left to race. Ridden briefly inside the final furlong, he went on to win with ease, with three and a quarter lengths back to the favourite Aftermath (Justify) in second.
Owned by Sheikh Abdullah Almalek Alsabah, the son of No Nay Never was bred by Lady Bamford out of the unraced Mastercraftsman mare Made By Hand.
