No Nay Never Juvenile Proves A Class Above In Listed Sprint

Apollo Fountain (2f No Nay Never – Fount, by Frankel) emerged as an exciting juvenile when running out an impressive winner of Saturday’s Listed Prix Yacowlef at Deauville.

Runner-up on debut at Chantilly last month, the Andre Fabre-trained bay was sent off favourite against some talented rivals, including Windsor Castle Stakes third Aviation Time. Alexis Pouchin settled his mount at the back of the field and asked her to quicken from two furlongs out. She ran on strongly to lead before the final furlong and scooted clear to score by three lengths.

The race was last year won by Myconian (Magna Grecia), with earlier winners including Group 1 performers Keep Busy and Suesa.
