No Nay Never Juvenile Scores On Second Start
Neverstopdreaming (2f No Nay Never - Snowflakes, by Galileo) took a step forward on her second start to justify favouritism in the fillies’ maiden at Pontefract on Monday.
The James Horton-trained bay showed signs of inexperience when finishing fourth at Goodwood last month and remained over the six furlong trip on her second attempt. Racing in touch under PJ McDonald, she was pushed along approaching the final furlong and led soon after. Ridden when challenged, she kept on well to deny Soveraine (Ten Sovereigns) by a neck on the line.
Neverstopdreaming sold for €220,000 as a yearling and now runs in the colours of Coverdale Stud. The daughter of No Nay Never is out of a winning full-sister to multiple Group 1 winner Winter (Galileo).
