No Nay Never Newcomer Makes Perfect Start

Silent Monarch (3f No Nay Never - Causeway Queen, by Giant’s Causeway) made a bright start to her career when winning Saturday’s seven furlong maiden at Beverley.

The George Boughey-trained newcomer was sent off favourite under Kevin Stott and after a slow start, raced towards the back of the field. Pushed along from three furlongs out, she made good headway to lead a furlong from home and kept on well to score by two and a half lengths. Jupiter And Mars (Camelot) completed a 1-2 for Coolmore sires.

Owned by Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, Silent Monarch is a half-sister to Stakes performer Surbett (Rock Of Gibraltar). The pair were bred by James Hanly out of Causeway Queen, whose Saxon Warrior two-year-old who sold for a record-breaking €520,000 at the Goresbridge Breeze-Up Sale earlier this year.
