No Nay Never Popularity Continues At Book 2

No Nay Never continued where he left off at Tattersalls Book 2, where a well-related colt consigned by Camas Park Stud was knocked down to Peter and Ross Doyle Bloodstock for 450,000gns.

Bred by his consignor with Lynch Bages, the April-born bay benefited from updates when half-sister Prosperous Voyage (Zoffany) finished second in both the Group 1 Fillies’ Mile and Group 2 May Hill Stakes. “He's a very nice horse by a top-class sire,” Ross Doyle commented. “He's a very good mover and I thought he was a bit of a standout here today.”

Camas Park Stud enjoyed another fine result on the final day of trade, as agents Ed Sackville and Dermot Farrington joined forces to purchase their No Nay Never colt out of Aljaazya for 260,000gns. After revealing their purchase was made on behalf of Mrs Fitri Hay, Sackville said, “He's a very strong colt who looked a real two-year-old. Obviously he's by an outstanding stallion who just gets better and better.”

Camas Park’s Tim Hyde was also understandably full of praise for No Nay Never, saying, “He looks like being a top stallion, doesn't he, with a Classic winner and everything else. This colt was fairly typical of the others we've had: very well-made horses with powerful backsides on them.”

Andrew Balding is no stranger to the progeny of No Nay Never, having trained Alcohol Free (No Nay Never) to win three Group 1’s, and will be hoping lightning strikes twice with his latest purchase by the sire; a 260,000gns colt from Newsells Park Stud. “He was one of our top picks of the ones we've seen over the three days, so we're delighted to have him,” Balding commented.

No Nay Never’s popularity followed on from terrific trade at Book 1, where highlights included Al Shira’aa Farm’s 925,000gns purchase of a half-sister to Bolshoi Ballet (Galileo) and Stauffenberg Bloodstock’s successful pinhook selling for 825,000gns.
