Norelands Reap Rewards Of No Nay Never And Zoffany At Tattersalls
A son of No Nay Never topped a fantastic day’s trade for Norelands Stud when selling to Jamie McCalmont for 270,000gns.
The February born bay hails from No Nay Never’s highest quality crop to date, bred off the back of an outstanding first crop that included Group 1 Middle Park Stakes victor Ten Sovereigns, who went on to win the Group 1 July Cup. Alcohol Free became a third top-level winner for No Nay Never this season when capturing the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes.
Friday’s star offering is the first foal out of Muirin, a lightly-raced, but highly-rated daughter of Group 3 winner Girouette.
Following him through the ring soon after was a Zoffany half-brother to this year’s top juvenile Pretty Gorgeous, who was knocked down to Joseph O’Brien for 235,000gns. O’Brien enjoyed Group 1 success with a son of Zoffany this season when Thunder Moon impressed in the National Stakes on just his second start.
