Progressive Son Of Fastnet Rock Races Clear

Forza Orta (3g Fastnet Rock - Follow A Star, by Galileo) built on some fine performances in defeat to run out a clear winner of Wednesday’s Novice Stakes at Hamilton.

The Kevin Ryan-trained bay had finished second on all four of his previous starts and was sent off favourite as he stepped up to a mile and three furlongs. Kevin Stott positioned him behind the leaders and made smooth headway from three furlongs out, improving to lead approaching the final furlong. Pushed along, the Highbank Stud homebred soon went clear and scored by four lengths on the line.

Forza Orta is bred on the same Fastnet Rock/Galileo cross as Group 1 winners Intricately, Qualify, Rivet and Zhukova.
