Promising Churchill Filly Wins In Style
Croachill (3f Churchill - Cronsa, by Martino Alonso) shaped like a useful prospect when winning her second start at Doncaster on Friday.
A promising second on debut earlier this month, the Roger Varian-trained filly remained over the ten furlong trip on Friday and was held up behind the leaders by Cameron Noble. Pushed along approaching the two furlong marker, she quickened to lead a furlong later and was ridden clear to win by two and three quarter lengths.
Croachill is owned by Mohamed Saeed Bulaibeh, having been bought by Marco Bozzi as a yearling for €120,000. Bred and sold by Razza Del Velino, the daughter of Churchill has a two-year-old sister by Gleneagles.
