Ruler of The World Filly Delivers On Debut Promise
Blame The Ruler (3f Ruler Of The World - Blameless, by Authorized) delivered on her promising debut second to go one better in the Prix de la Petite Ferme at Clairefontaine on Monday.
Stepping up in trip to a mile and a half, the John Hammond-trained filly raced in midfield under Ronan Thomas and took closer order from halfway. Racing wide on the turn for home, she ran on well in the straight to lead inside the final furlong and stayed on to beat €450,000 yearling buy Marbella by two and a half lengths.
Owned by Arturo Cousino, Blame The Ruler was bred by Lannister Holdings and is a grand-daughter of Crystal House, who was crowned joint champion three-year-old filly in Chile.
Blame The Ruler comes from the first crop of Epsom Derby victor Ruler Of The World, as does dual Group 1 winner Iridessa. The well-bred son of Galileo commands €8,000 at Castlehyde Stud.
