Second Crop Churchill Foals Command Attention At Tattersalls
The second crop foals of Churchill remained in demand at Tattersalls on Friday, with Houghton Bloodstock selling their Churchill colt to Paca Paca Farm for 230,000gns.
Offered as Lot 929, the half-brother to Group 3 Molecomb Stakes second Ben Macdui is a grandson of Stakes winner Sugarhoneybaby.
Glenvale Stud, Margaret O’Toole, Oaks Farm Stables and BBA Ireland were others to purchase the progeny of Churchill on Friday, while Yeomanstown Stud went to 92,000gns for a colt the previous day. Pinhookers had clearly taken note of the prices commanded by Churchill’s first yearlings, which sold for up to 350,000gns.
