Second Easy Stakes Win For No Nay Never Juvenile

No Nay Mets (2c No Nay Never – Etoile, by War Front) was not for catching at Monmouth Park on Sunday, with George Weaver’s charge running out an impressive winner of the Tyros Stakes.

Weaver’s decision to debut the colt at Stakes level was vindicated in May, when the bay made all to win the Royal Palm Juvenile Stakes by three and a half lengths, which earned him a trip to Royal Ascot. Sunday saw Lopez adopt the front-running tactics of the colt’s debut success and began to draw clear turning for home, going on to score by an easy five and a half lengths.

“He impressed me today,” said the winning trainer. “I can't be any happier with the horse. We're going to try to put him on a path to get to the Breeders' Cup.”

No Nay Mets is owned by Bregman Family Racing LLC and is the first foal bred by Coolmore out of their homebred Group 3 winner Etoile (War Front).
