Six-figure offering for Mastercraftsman

Mastercraftsman’s talents as a sire are no secret to Brendan Holland of Co Cork-based Grove Stud and he will be hoping lightning strikes twice after picking up a colt by the Coolmore stallion at Arqana on Monday.

Holland bought subsequent dual G1 winner The Grey Gatsby (6h Mastercraftsman-Marie Vison, by Entrepreneur) as a yearling at Arqana, reselling him at the same venue as a breeze-up horse.

This time around he spent €100,000 on a colt consigned by La Motteraye Consignment out of the Italian black-type performer Sunday Nectar (by Footstepsinthesand).
