Sizzling’s G3 strike for Galileo

Aidan O’Brien saddled the durable Sizzling (3f Galileo-Weekend Strike, by Smart Strike) to land an easy win in the G3 Give Thanks Stakes at Cork on Saturday.

The Galileo filly, who has now picked up black-type on seven starts, coasted home by two and a quarter lengths in the 1m 4f event.

“Seamus (Heffernan) gave her a great ride. He was very committed on her, and at halfway he said 'come on'. She’s a hardy tough filly,” said O’Brien. “Something like the G2 Park Hill Stakes (at Doncaster) could suit her as she gets a mile and six well.”
