Son Of Churchill Justifies Favouritism On Debut
Gaidar (3g Churchill - Grey Lilas, by Danehill) produced a smart debut performance to land Tuesday’s three-year-old maiden at Chantilly.
Breaking smartly under Hugo Besnier, the Andre Fabre-trained grey raced prominently throughout the nine and a half furlong contest. Running on well in the closing stages, he justified favouritism by a length and a quarter in comfortable fashion.
Owned and bred by Gestut Ammerland, the May-born grey is closely related to triple Group 1 winner Golden Lilac (Galileo).
