Tazaral (3g Fastnet Rock - Tarana, by Cape Cross) made an impressive seasonal debut on Monday when running out a five length winner of the Thomastown Maiden at Gowran Park.

Racing over an extended nine furlongs, the Aga Khan homebred chased the leaders under Colin Keane and made headway into second from two furlongs out. Asserting approaching the final furlong, he soon went clear, leaving his rivals to fight for placings.
