Son Of Mastercraftsman Gains Black-Type Success
Last year’s Gr.2 Grand Prix de Deauville runner-up Master’s Spirit (8h Mastercraftsman - Lavayssiere, by Sicyos) gained a well-deserved first black-type win in the Listed Prix Hubert Baguenault de Puchesse at Vichy.
Group or Listed-placed on no fewer than 12 occasions, the Jerome Reynier-trained entire was held up in the rear before jockey Ioritz Mendizabal asked for an effort two furlongs out, going on to win by a quarter of a length.
Master’s Spirit was bred by Bouzid and Kamel Cheboub and runs in the colours of Le Haras de la Goussiere.
Mastercraftsman is enjoying another excellent year with ten stakes winners already on the board.
