Son Of No Nay Never Impresses On Return

Ibn Arabi (3g No Nay Never - Lovelocks, by High Chaparral) proved much-improved on his three-year-old return, when racing clear to win Sunday’s six furlong maiden at Wolverhampton.

Trained by George Scott for E.A. Al Afoo, the son of No Nay Never hinted at his ability last September when finishing second over course and distance. Not seen since October, the bay was ridden to chase the leader by Ben Curtis and was pushed along to make headway approaching the final furlong. Soon in front, he quickened away impressively to win by six and a half lengths.

Bred by Glenvale Stud and Edgeridge Ltd, Ibn Arabi is a half-brother to two-time winner Shikami (Mastercraftsman), out of an own-sister to Racing Post Trophy fourth Jacobean (High Chaparral).
