Son Of No Nay Never Rallies For Maiden Victory
Assail (3g No Nay Never - Pink Damsel, by Galileo) took a step forward on his second start to win Tuesday’s maiden at Wolverhampton.
David Simcock’s charge raced in touch throughout the nine and a half furlongs contest and began to draw clear with the leader from over two furlongs out. He asserted a furlong from home and kept on well to deny the favourite by a neck, with the pair rallying eight and a half lengths clear of the third.
Owned by Raed El Youssef, Assail was bred by Castlehyde Stud out of Pink Damsel. The full-sister to Group 1 runner-up Say (Galileo) has a two-year-old by Ten Sovereigns yet to run.
