Relevant Range (Starspangledbanner) Wins His Maiden At Dundalk

Son Of Starspangledbanner Goes One Better

Friday saw Relevant Range (4g Starspangledbanner - Leala, by Montjeu) gain a deserved win in the mile maiden at Dundalk.

Gillian Scott’s charge had found one too good on both of his previous starts and was sent off second favourite to go one better under Billy Lee. Tracking the leader for much of the way, he led from two furlongs out and was ridden when challenged approaching the final furlong. Keeping on well close home, he held off his rival by half a length on the line.

Scott later revealed that the winner would return for good ground on the turf. The son of Starspangledbanner was bred by Empire Bloodstock and is closely related to multiple Grade 1 winner Obviously (Choisir).
