Son Of Ten Sovereigns Bolts Up On Second Start
Harvard Sound (3g Ten Sovereigns – Music And Dance, by Galileo) proved a class above his rivals when bolting up in Saturday’s seven furlong maiden at Lingfield.
Tom Clover’s charge shaped like a smart type when finishing a close second to a more experienced rival on debut last month, and was sent off favourite to go one better on Saturday. Settled towards the back of the field in the early stages, he improved to race in touch with the leaders from halfway and led approaching the final furlong. Soon clear, he was pushed out by Neil Callan to score by seven and a half lengths, as Dimsons (Footstepsinthesand) finished best of the remainder.
Owned by Clipper Logistics, the first crop son of Ten Sovereigns was bred by Norelands Bloodstock and Matt Gilsenan.
