Son Of Ten Sovereigns Eases Clear To Second Straight Win

Ten Pounds (3g Ten Sovereigns – Lady Fashion, by Oasis Dream) skipped clear at Leicester on Wednesday evening to record back-to-back wins for Harry Charlton and owner Mohammed Jaber.

The first crop son of Ten Sovereigns built on a promising debut at Newbury to run out a clear winner at Newcastle last month. He was sent off a short-priced favourite on his third start and raced prominently throughout the seven furlong contest, asserting from two furlongs out. Soon clear, Trevor Whelan looked over his shoulder a furlong from home, before easing down to score by four lengths and three quarters.

A step up in class is presumably now on the cards for the bay, who was bred by Glenvale Stud and Edgeridge Ltd.
