Son Of U S Navy Flag Delivers For New Team
Conquistador (2g U S Navy Flag - El Diamante, by Royal Applause) made a winning start for new connections in Monday’s five furlong Novice Stakes at Wolverhampton.
The first crop son of U S Navy Flag joined George Boughey after placing on his last three starts for John and Thady Gosden, and dropped down in trip on his stable bow. Racing prominently under William Buick, the bay was pushed along to make headway approaching the final furlong and was ridden to lead soon after. Running on well, he scored by a length and three quarters.
Now owned by the Inver Park Partnership, Conquistador was bred by Sir Robert Ogden.
