Sottsass Filly Draws Clear On Debut At Longchamp
Safia (2f Sottsass – Stay Home, by Le Havre) emerged as an exciting prospect when making an impressive debut at Longchamp on Sunday.
The Fabrice Chappet-trained filly was one of 10 to line up for the nine furlong maiden and was settled in midfield by Cristian Demuro. Pushed along turning for home, she was driven to lead approaching the final furlong and strode clear to score by four lengths.
The first crop daughter of Sottsass is a homebred of Riviera Equine, Haras d’Etreham and Craig Bernick.
