South African Group Two Winner for Rock
Australian bred mare Arcetri Pink (4m Rock of Gibraltar x Arcetri, by Galileo) claimed another feature win when taking out the Group II Ipi Tombe Challenge at Turffontein in South Africa on Saturday.
Already a multiple stakes-winner, the Geoff Woodruff trained daughter of Rock of Gibraltar took the 1600 metre contest by a dominant four lengths and has won five of her 20 starts.
She was a $45,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Heritage Bloodstock from the draft of Millford Thoroughbreds and is the first foal of Arcetri, an unraced half-sister by Galileo to Group II winning sprinter Camena and another smart sprinter in Jai’s Jump.
