Sprinter Becomes Latest Group Winner By No Nay Never

The progressive Nikisophia (3f No Nay Never - Apache Dream, by Indian Ridge) gained her maiden pattern success in Sunday’s Group 3 Premio Carlo & Francesco Aloisi at Capannelle.

Ten lined up for the six furlong sprint, with Giuseppe Ercegovic riding Nikisophia in a prominent position. Producing a challenge two furlongs out, the bay ran on to lead a furlong later and was driven out to win by a length.

Trained by Maurizio Grassi for Fabio Belluccini, Nikisophia becomes the second Group winner produced by her dam, a half-sister to two black-type performers.
