Stakes race next for latest Mastercraftsman winner
The Aidan O’Brien-trained Bluebell (2f Mastercraftsman-Sogno Verde, by Green Desert) looked another exciting first-crop performer for Mastercraftsman when winning a Limerick maiden on Saturday evening.
The well-backed filly took the seven-furlong maiden in good style under Joseph O’Brien, who predicted that the filly could now make her mark in black-type company.
“They went a good gallop and she is by Mastercraftsman who has started to do really well,” said the winning rider. “She’s a bit lazy but genuine and she tries hard. She’s entitled to step up to stakes company after that.”
Bluebell, a half-sister to Railway Stakes winner Lilbourne Lad, was bred by Swordlestown Little Stud and realised €200,000 at the 2012 Goffs February Sale.
She holds entries in the G2 Railway Stakes, G1 Keeneland Phoenix Stakes and the G1 Moyglare Stud Stakes.
