Successful Step Up In Class For Ruler Of The World Filly
Edouard Montfort’s consistent filly Mrs Dukesbury (2f Ruler Of The World - Sunshinesonleith, by Danehill Dancer) gained her second career success when taking Friday’s Class 2 mile contest at Nantes.
She gained her maiden win over the same distance in August and was last seen finishing second in another Class 2 race over a furlong shorter at Craon. Alexandre Roussel rode the chesnut to lead, gaining a length advantage as the approached the turn for home and rode her out to hold off Stakes performer Bellanodine by a length and a quarter on the line.
Owned by Gerard Augustin-Normand, Mrs Dukesbury was bred by Ecurie Jema out of a half-sister to Listed-placed miler Queen Jock. She comes from the second crop of Derby hero Ruler Of The World, whose daughter Iridessa gained her third Group 1 success last month.
