Star Of Emaraaty (Pride Of Dubai) Wins The Gr.3 Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket

Sweet Stakes Success For Pride Of Dubai Filly

Star Of Emaraaty (2f Pride Of Dubai - La Grande Elisa, by Ad Valorem) produced a career-best performance to take Saturday’s Group 3 Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket.

Trainer Kevin Ryan has always held the Ontoawinner-owned filly in high regard, running her in the Queen Mary Stakes on her second start, while she was last seen finishing fourth in the Listed Star Stakes at Sandown. Once again racing over seven furlongs at the weekend, the chesnut was positioned in midfield by Kevin Stott and was switched right to challenge approaching the final furlong. Running on well to lead close home, she won by a length and a quarter.

Bred by Karis Bloodstock and Rathbarry Stud, Star Of Emaraaty continues an excellent start at stud by Pride Of Dubai, who was crowned champion first crop sire in Australia last week. A dual Group 1 winner in his native Australia, the son of Street Cry boasts a top pedigree familiar with European breeders, being related to Kodiac and Invincible Spirit.
