Talented Ten Sovereigns Filly Lands £100,000 Contest
The highly-rated Love Talk (2f Ten Sovereigns – Lovelocks, by High Chaparral) secured a valuable prize in the British EBF £100,000 Fillies’ Series Final at Goodwood.
The Grant Tuer-trained filly emerged as a smart type when making a winning debut in May and went on to finish fourth in two Group races in France. Reunited with Sam James on Wednesday, the 93-rated filly raced prominently throughout the seven furlong contest and was travelling well with two furlongs left to race. She ran on gamely when ridden approaching the final furlong and went on to beat the favourite by a length and three quarters, going away. The promising Shes Perfect (Sioux Nation) finished third.
Bred by Glenvale Stud and Edgeridge Ltd, Love Talk is owned by Nick Bradley Racing and partner. The second crop daughter of Ten Sovereigns is a half-sister to another highly-rated type in Nellie Leylax (Calyx), who is two from two this season.
