Ten Sovereigns Colt Strikes On Second Start
Ten Horns (2c Ten Sovereigns – Rivalba, by Street Cry) continued a smart start at stud by Ten Sovereigns when running out a commanding winner at Clairefontaine on Saturday.
Patrice Cottier’s charge finished a promising third on debut last month and stepped up to a mile on his second start. Restrained in the early stages by Marvin Grandin, he was one of just two runners to remain on the far side as the field turned for home. Ridden to lead passing the final furlong marker, he kept on strongly to win by two lengths.
The promising colt is owned by breeders Ecurie Gribomont and Ecurie du Sud. He adds to Ten Sovereigns’ growing list of winners, which is led by Group 3 performer Do It With Style, the Stakes-placed Indispensable and Royal Ascot third Inquisitively.
