Nemonte Wins At Roscommon 1

Ten Sovereigns Filly An All The Way Winner

Nemonte (2f Ten Sovereigns - Jumellea, by Zoffany) continued a fine run for freshman sire Ten Sovereigns when recording her second career success at Roscommon on Tuesday.

The Joseph O’Brien-trained filly won a Curragh maiden on debut before being purchased privately by Reeves Thoroughbred Racing and Steven Rocco. She subsequently ran with credit in the Chesham Stakes, before finishing fourth in a Group 3 and was sent off favourite to return to winning ways on Tuesday. Ridden to make all by Conor Stone-Walsh, she was shaken up approaching the final furlong and was pushed out to score by a length and a half, with another six lengths back to the third.

A return to Stakes level may now be on the cards for Nemonte, as she holds entries in an upcoming Group 3 contest, as well as the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes. Bred by Whisperview Trading, she provides an important update for her full-sister catalogued in next month’s Goffs Orby Sale.
