Ten Sovereigns Filly Brings €200,000 At Goresbridge
Ten Sovereigns was responsible for the highest-priced filly at the Tattersalls Ireland Goresbridge Breeze-Up Sale, where Alex Elliott stretched to €200,000 for Lot 15 from Willie Browne’s Mocklershill.
Elliott showed his determination to secure the bay when rounding bidding up from €185,000, to the dismay of eventual underbidder Michael Donoghue. “She was my pick of the sale and did a very good breeze,” Elliott said. “She was highly recommended by Willie Browne and was the one that we were keen to buy. She has a very good action. and she finished out her breeze well.”
Other notable results for Ten Sovereigns on the day included a colt sold to Peter Nolan and Noel Meade for €90,000. Blandford Bloodstock, Kevin Ryan and Demi O’Byrne also secured some of his first juveniles on the day.
