Ten Sovereigns Filly Gains Second Stakes Success
Sunday saw Mysterious Shadow (2f Ten Sovereigns - Eclairante, by High Chaparral) record her second Stakes success in the Listed Premio Criterium Femminile Memorial Lorenzo Brogi at Capannelle.
The Endo Botti-trained filly has achieved plenty in a short space of time, having impressed on debut in late September, returning ten days later to win the Listed Premio Coolmore. Following Sunday’s performance, Botti said, “She is a nice filly and has only been beaten once. She will have a break and we will see her next season.”
Next season, Mysterious Shadow will aim to better her sister and stablemate Estrosa (Sioux Nation), who finished second in this year’s Group 3 Italian 1,000 Guineas and fourth in the Group 2 Italian Oaks. Botti will also hope to continue his success with the family, having purchased their yearling half-brother in September.
Bred by Charel Park Stud, Mysterious Shadow is one of ten black-type performers from the exciting first crop of Ten Sovereigns.
