Ten Sovereigns Kicks Off Sale With Six Figure Filly

A filly from the second crop of Ten Sovereigns led early trade at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale when selling to Highflyer Bloodstock for €100,000.

Anthony Bromley provided the final bid for the Glenvale Stud-consigned filly, who he later revealed was bought on behalf of Andrew Megson and will go into training with Ed Dunlop. “The sire is doing very well with his first crop,” Bromley continued. “This filly is a good, athletic filly with a good step. It is really exciting, and this filly looks as though she has size and scope to make up into a three-year-old too.”

A late April foal, the daughter of Ten Sovereigns is closely related to Lakota Seven (Sioux Nation), who sold for 180,000gns after placing at Listed level and finishing fourth in the Group 2 Futurity Stakes.

As eluded to by Anthony Bromley, Ten Sovereigns has made a smart start with his first runners, led by seven Stakes performers. They include two Stakes winners and another three Group-placed horses.
