The Gurkha Colt Lands Group 3 On Return

Saturday saw 2020 German champion two-year-old Best Of Lips (3c The Gurkha - Beata, by Silver Frost) make a winning return to action in the Group 3 Dr Busch-Memorial at Krefeld.

Positioned in midfield by Lukas Delozier, Andreas Suborics’ charge began to improve from three furlongs out and was ridden from the two furlong pole. Driven into the lead in the final 110 yards, the bay stayed on well to win by three parts of a length.

Owned by Stall Lintec and bred by Stall Parthenaue, Best Of Lips was recording his third career success and second Group win. He was expected to improve at three, given that his sire The Gurkha was a dual Group 1 winner as a three-year-old.
