The Gurkha Filly Makes Perfect Start

Invite (2f The Gurkha - Katiyra, by Peintre Celebre) ran on strongly to make a winning debut at Lingfield on Thursday afternoon.

Owned and trained by Sylvester Kirk, the bay raced in midfield under Tom Marquand and was pushed along as they approached the turn for home. Ridden to make headway approaching the final furlong, she soon led and ran on well to score by two and a quarter lengths going away.

Bred by RJB Bloodstock out of Group 2 winner Katiyra, Invite hails from the first crop of top-class three-year-old The Gurkha.
