Exciting two-year-oldZellie (2f Wootton Bassett - Sarai, by Nathaniel) passed her latest test with flying colours, as she ran out an easy winner of the Listed Prix Roland de Chambure at Deauville on Sunday.
Andre Fabre’s unbeaten charge was sent off favourite for the seven furlong test and raced towards the back of the field under Mickael Barzalona. Cruising to the front approaching the final furlong, she quickened clear under hands and heels to win by three lengths. Adding to the impressive nature of her victory was that the second and third horses each came into the race with two wins from two starts.

Speak Of The Devil (4f Wootton Bassett - Moranda, by Indian Rocket) completed a Stakes double on the card for Wootton Bassett when prevailing in a thrilling finish to the Listed Prix de la Calonne.
Beaten a nose in the Group 1 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches on her third career start, the Rashit Shaykhutdinov-owned bay recorded her first Stakes win last October and made her first start for Frederic Rossi on Sunday. Held up in last by Cristian Demuro, she was travelling well at the three furlong marker and produced a challenger approaching two furlongs out. Running on strongly, she took second entering the final furlong and was driven out to beat fellow Listed winner Queen Of Love by a short head.
Bred by Herve Viallon, the daughter of Wootton Bassett is one of two Stakes winners out of Moranda.
