Wootton Bassett Storms Clear To Remain Unbeaten

Padishakh (2c Wootton Bassett - Penny Lane, by Lord Of England) produced an impressive performance to make it two from two in Wednesday’s Class 2 contest at Chantilly.

The son of Wootton Bassett earned TDN ‘Rising Star’ status last month when running out a commanding winner on debut at Longchamp. Jean-Claude Rouget’s charge stepped up to nine furlongs on his second start and tracked the leader under Cristian Demuro, before asserting from two furlongs out. Soon in command, the bay drew clear to score by an easy five and a half lengths.

Owned by Nurlan Bizakov, Padishakh was bred by Haras d’Etreham, Riviera Equine and Ecurie de Montlahuc.
