Zen another stakes 2yo for Zoffany

In-form Zoffany had another black-type winning juvenile in France on Sunday in the shape of Pure Zen (2f Zoffany-Dolce Attesa, by Dr Fong).

Trainer by Myriam Bollack-Badel for owner-breeder Scuderia Micolo, she landed the Listed Prix Francois Boutin over seven furlongs at Deauville under Alexi Badel.

“We’ll talk to the owner about future plans but she should get a mile and soft ground won’t be a problem,” said Bollack-Badel. “She has a lot of options and she’s a filly that has still to grow into herself, but she is talented. She will be a good three-year-old.”

Badel added: “She's a quality filly and accelerated well. I am very happy with her. She’s a pleasure to ride and I think she will get a mile.”

Zoffany was also on the mark the previous afternoon in Newmarket when the Mark Johnston-trained Main Edition (2f Zoffany-Maine Lobster, by Woodman) captured the G3 Sweet Solera Stakes.
