Zoffany 2yo stakes winner

Italy’s first black-type event of 2018 for juvenile fillies went the way of Zoffany’s daughter Crisaff’s Queen (2f Zoffany-Monster Munchie, by Deep Impact).

The Agostino Affe-trained filly could scarcely have been more impressive as she took the 1,100 metre (5.5 furlongs) Listed Premio Alessandro Perrone on Italian Derby day in Rome by three and a half lengths, showing brilliant acceleration.

“I was a bit upset when she got beaten on her debut, but not for this win,” Affe told EBN. “She is a very good filly and could stay a bit further. I really don’t know about her next target, I want to check how she comes out of the race,”

Crisaff’s Queen was bred in Britain by Chasemore Farm.
