Zoffany Filly Gains Fourth Stakes Success

Saturday saw Main Edition (3f Zoffany - Maine Lobster, by Woodman) return to winning ways in the Listed Guisborough Stakes, marking a fourth black-type success for the bay.

Racing over seven furlongs, Joe Fanning rode the Mark Johnston-trained filly to lead from five furlongs out and asked her to quicken from the two furlong pole. Ridden out, she won by two lengths in comfortable fashion.

Main Edition was bought by her trainer on behalf of owner Saif Ali for 62,000gns as a yearling. Bred by Minch Bloodstock, she is one of three Stakes winners out of Maine Lobster, herself a daughter of Grade 1 heroine Capades.
