Back To Back Hurdle Wins For Son Of Maxios
The progressive Uncheckable (3g Maxios - Slatina, by Mastercraftsman) recorded back-to-back wins over hurdles in Friday’s Class 2 contest at Compiegne.
An eight length winner at Auteuil in September, the son of Maxios was making his first start for Giada Menato on Friday and was ridden prominently by Ludovic Philipperon. Leading from four out, the bay quickened turning for home and was pushed along from the second last. Ridden on the run-in, he kept on well to deny later challenges and prevailed by a length on the line.
Owned by Mustapha Bekhti, Uncheckable was bred by Haras De La Perelle and hails from the penultimate German crop of Maxios. Now based at Castlehyde Stud, Maxios sired an impressive winner the previous day when £170,000 point-to-pointer Chasing Fire extended his unbeaten record on hurdle debut.
