Back To Back Wins For Son Of Getaway

Masters Legacy (5g Getaway - Gently Go, by Milan) gained his second consecutive success when taking Tuesday’s Novice Hurdle at Taunton.

The Philip Hobbs-trained gelding finished second on debut to the currently unbeaten Wild Max (Maxios) and went on to win a similar two mile contest at Taunton. Stepping up to two miles and three furlongs on Tuesday, he was sent off favourite under Michael Nolan, who rode him to make all. Shaken up approaching the final flight, he stayed on well to score comfortably, by three and a quarter lengths.

Owned by Mrs P Bosley and bred by Robin Harold-Barry, Masters Legacy provides a nice update for his three-year-old full-brother. He completed the first leg of a double on the card for his Grange Stud sire Getaway, with Minnie Escape taking the final race, while over at Lingfield, Bridle Loanan (Getaway) won his second start over fences by eight lengths.
