Castle Town House (Getaway) Wins The Maiden Hurdle At Limerick

Consistent Son Of Getaway Enjoys Change Of Fortune

The Michael McDonagh owned and trained Castle Town House (6g Getaway - Walkers Oscar, by Oscar) gained a deserved maiden success on Sunday when justifying favouritism at Limerick.

Third between the flags in November, the son of Getaway had been placed on his last four starts and had form on heavy ground at the track. He raced prominently throughout the maiden hurdle under Barry Browne and though hampered at the final flight by a loose horse, kept on well to win by four lengths.

Bred by P and V Noonan out of an Oscar mare, Castle Town House is bred on the same cross as Grade 1-winning chaser Sporting John (Getaway).
