Daughter Of Mahler Draws Clear On Debut
Spring Note (4f Mahler - Spring Baloo, by Definite Article) made a bright start to her career when running out a clear winner of the mares’ bumper at Warwick on Tuesday.
The Nicky Henderson-trained newcomer was sent off favourite for the two mile contest and was ridden prominently by Nico de Boinville. Leading from four furlongs out, she drew clear from two furlongs out and went on to score by four lengths and three quarters.
Owned by Canter Banter Racing, Spring Note was bred by Stephanie Hanly out of a half-sister to the top-class Oscar Whisky (Oscar). The promising daughter of Mahler is a half-sister to dual winner Jungle Prose (Yeats).
