Liberty London (Maxios) Wins The Listed Prix Luth Enchantee At Clairefontaine

Daughter Of Maxios Lands Listed Prize

Liberty London (4f Maxios - Ledicea, by Medicean) overcame trouble in running to land Friday’s feature at Clairefontaine; the Listed Prix Luth Enchantee.

Racing over a mile and a half, the Waldemar Hickst-trained bay was ridden to chase the leaders by Pierre-Charles Boudot. Forced to delay her challenge in the straight, she ran on strongly when a gap appeared and scored by half a length on the line.

It marked a deserved maiden black-type success for the Gestut Ittlingen homebred, who was last seen finishing a close third in a Listed contest at Hanover. Liberty London becomes a second Stakes winner this month for Maxios, following Walderbe’s win in the Group 3 Premio Carlo d’Alessio.

Maxios transferred to Castlehyde Stud this season and has made a strong start with his first national hunt runners. The influence of his sire Monsun was once again apparent this week when his son Aramon carried top weight to success in the valuable Galway Hurdle.
