Mahler was responsible for another smart debut winner on Saturday, with Constant Friday (6g Mahler - Another Mattys Joy, by Beneficial) creating a favourable impression when landing the second division of the 6yo+ Geldings Maiden at Lisronagh.

Ridden by James Hannon, the Harry Kelly-trained grey was in a prominent position throughout before leading 5 out and went on to win by 2 lengths.

Owned and bred by John Palmer, Constant Friday is a half-brother to black-type chaser Padraig’s Joy. His sire Mahler is the leading P2P sire this season and is also enjoying another good season on the track.
